SUNDAYS FACE OF THE DAY

Fun fact about me: I don't like wearing makeup on the weekends if I don't have to. I love going au-natural whenever I can - it makes me feel like my skin is detoxing! So normally if I don't have anything planned, besides running some errands, I always take that opportunity to go make-up free and then pray I don't run into anyone I know. But, as we all know, that's usually when all those people you haven't seen in years and years decides to come out of hiding.

Yesterday was different, though. I woke up, ate my breakfast, drank two cups of coffee and watched some TV while trying to come back to life, and then showered. It was the exact same as any plan-free Sunday morning. However, apparently I was in the mood to play beauty parlour because, this time, I didn't just stop at moisturizer.

It was fun using more make-up than I normally would during the weekdays at work (while still keeping it on the natural side). It was also fun not being rushed and being able to take my time picking out exactly the products I wanted to try; some were old faithfuls and others were ones I brought back to life for the day.

Once I was finished and just standing there with no where to go, I decided a FOTD post (that's 'face of the day', mom) was in order so all of my efforts wouldn't be a total waste. Plus, if you're a makeup junkie like myself, it's always fun to see what others like to slather all over their face, right?

So taaaa-da!

The quality of this picture isn't the greatest because it was taken on my phone. I was way too lazy to break out any other camera, but I'm realizing that for a make-up shot like this, that wasn't the smartest move! It looked great on my phone, but what I didn't realize was that it would be blown up to like 4 times the normal size. Again, not the smartest move! Also, please ignore my lazy eye! You totally just went back to look for it then, didn't you?!

My parents ended up inviting me over for dinner Sunday night, along with my aunt and cousins, so I was quite happy after all to be rocking more than moisturizer!!

I really wish I had taken better pictures because this look turned out really nice, and it kind of defeats the purpose of doing a post like this if no one can see how it actually looks. Oh well, I guess I'll know better for next time. Also, feel free to ask me about any of the products I mentioned!

Until next time.
