Where to even start with this episode of the Bachelor! While it may have seemed like a lot happened during those two hours, it really only boiled down to two things, or I guess two people: Liz and Corinne. Is it bad that we're only into week 2 and already I'm a little sick of hearing (and after this recap, talking) about Corinne? Since she's quickly establishing herself as this season's villain, something tells me we've only touched the tip of the iceberg with her. As Brittany, or the girl in the leaf bottom as we only know her up this point as, said "Corinne is a killer....a killlla with a capital K". Well rapped said, Brittany, well said.
The first group date was a bridal photo shoot, and it was here where every girl this season apparently shared their first kiss with Nick. Ahh, memories they'll cherish years from now! It was also here where Corinne got Nick to "Janet Jackson it" or, hold her "bare bosoms", as she took her bikini top off in the pool. While the other girls were appalled, Corinne felt she was "daring enough to have clothes and to take them off".

As we all know, hearing the girls talk into the camera say that there's no way Corinne's going to win the photo shoot for having the best chemistry with Nick means it's already in the bag. And sure enough, Corinne won the extra time with Nick. She also went on that evening to win the group date rose after stealing him away from the other girls multiple times and giving them a speech about how they have to be there for themselves and how it's going to get awkward. She most definitely got that last part right.
This brings me to my next point and it's something I'm sure every girl on the show is wondering (as well as what everyone over the last few years has been wondering), minus Corinne of course, is what exactly is Nick looking for? It's been no secret that Nick has a sexual past (Andi, Kaitlyn, and Liz just to name a few), and I think since we already know (and watched and read, thanks to Andi's tell all book) so much about his sex life, it's hard not to have a preconceived notion about what he's interested in. Don't get me wrong, this by no way indicates he's only there to hook up with lots of girls, that's not what I'm saying at all, but when these Corinne type of situations happen and he validates it by giving a rose, you can't help but automatically ask yourself if he's going to be leading with his heart or his head or his......um, you get the idea (sorry mom!).
One of the girls asked, "is everything bad that I've heard about him true?". This! This sums up what I'm trying to say perfectly. If this was anyone else but Nick I don't think we'd even think twice about it. But with so much shared about him and with those judgments lingering for quite some time now, it's not going to take much for the girls to ask themselves that question. I truly believe he's there to seriously find someone, I do, but I don't think this week's episode helped Nick and his reputation. And who knows, maybe Corinne is someone who he's looking for and who will make him happy (while reenacting Janet Jackson moves of course!).
We're only 2 episodes in and already I feel like some of the girls are a little too out there for me. Again, I'm certainly not a prude and people are free to do what they want, but I feel like this show is moving further from the Bachelor, and more towards the Real World. While normally I would fully blame the producers for this, the girls seem to be contributing a little more this season. I know the show isn't going to be the same as it was 10 years ago, or even 5 for that matter, and nor would I want it to be, but I think ultimately what draws people in are watching the relationships develop, and it seems we're seeing less and less of that with each season. I don't know about you, but I would definitely like to see a little more dating, and a little less drama and topless pool photo shoots. Moving on.....
The second part of the show was Liz. If her and Nick had never met before, I think I would have enjoyed seeing her on show and I actually think she probably would have made it pretty far, but because of their past and the circumstances, I'm glad Nick sent her home, and sent her home when he did. If he was even a little skeptical, it probably wasn't going to go anywhere, and when he had so many girls he was interested in, it definitely wouldn't have stood a chance. While I do feel like Nick was avoiding her throughout their group date, I myself felt so awkward watching Liz "break up" with him during their group date activity. And I still don't understand what the purpose was of her doing that. If it was to make Nick squirm (or freeze), mission accomplished!
Danielle M. got the first one on one date. She automatically caught my eye on night one, so I was happy to see more of her. I love her style, and she seems so nice, plus the other girls seem to love her. But, I'm just not completely sold yet on her and Nick's chemistry. Hopefully we'll get to see more of them together soon.
With so much focus on Liz and Corinne, we really didn't get any more insight on the other girls, although I do think Raven may have caught Nick's attention (and ours) a little this week. Something also tells me we're not completely done talking about Liz, especially since it looks like next week the others find out about her history with Nick....
