Ahhhh, the Too Faced melted lipsticks! The lipsticks that I've went back and forth between loving and hating over the last year. Have you ever had a similar experience with a makeup product? It's a strange thing, it really is. I mean, how can you go from can't stop looking at yourself in the mirror because you're so amazed by how great a product is, to asking yourself a million times why you ever purchased that same product in the first place?
I own 7 lipsticks in total (5 original and 2 metal), and they're all smaller versions of the original sized ones. These were all included in a couple of Too Faced gift sets I bought last year during Sephora's VIB sale. However, they were the main reason why I took the plunge on those gift sets in the first place. I had heard lots of good things about them, and I was really excited to try them for myself.
I'll try my best to summarize my feelings on both sides of the spectrum, so if you happen to be wondering whether you should purchase these yourself, maybe some of these points will help tip you to one side or the other. Although if I'm being completely honest, I think I often fall below the neutral line more times than I go above it.
What to know:

Using exclusive technology to keep cauldrons of molten lipsticks liquid and creamy, Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick comfortably coats lips in bursts of intense, high-impact, super rich, saturated colour that lasts for hours".
My thoughts:
- Very pigmented, and therefore not subtle at all (they're definitely more "in your face" colours).
- The colours of the tubes do not match great to the actual colour of the product.
- Non-sticky but a little drying (stay away if you have dry lips!).
- Hard to get off (you're screwed if you go outside the lines), but yet fades quicker than expected.
- The lighter shades Nude & Chihuahua are ones that I would normally gravitate towards, but they seem to look more brown/orange on me and not flattering at all.
- The metal ones have a metallic finish and they feel lighter than the original ones.
- Goes on streaky when applying right from the tube.
So what is it exactly that I do like about this product? Well, they have a great matte-like finish without looking cakey, and they do last longer than any lipsticks I own (definitely not all day, but longer than your normal lipsticks). And when I am in the mood to be a little more daring with my lip colour, I will usually reach for these as they are beautiful colours.
To help with the dryness and the application, I find applying a small amount of coconut oil to my lips first works wonders! I also find that the lipsticks don't look as bold (and as streaky) if you blot your lips with a tissue first and then apply a lip gross right after.
I took some pictures of myself wearing the 7 different colours to give you an idea. I will say that the colours look a lot nicer on me in these pictures than they do in person and I think that's because the colours don't look half as pigmented (pictures have a funny way of making makeup look much less noticeable). However, I did not edit any of those photos so you could get the best idea of how they look on me.

Overall I think these are really great if you're not afraid of wearing colour. However, if you're like me and tend to prefer more subtle ("my lips but better") colours, then I think there's better options out there.
