Well, I'm back from Mexico and I just wanted to let you all know that I have officially self diagnosed myself with a little thing called the post-vacation blues. It's a real thing, you know, and I'm totally convinced I caught it. I typed my symptoms into google and those words appeared on my screen in bold letters, along with some other scary things that I can't even begin to pronounce and ones that I'm trying ever so hard to pretend that I didn't just see.
But after the amazing week I just had, it's kind of hard not to feel some sort of sadness when you return home to a mountain of work that's slapping you in the face and minus thirty degree weather that also likes to slap you in the face...hard! You can say I was a tad bit naive thinking that because it was the beginning of March I would be greeted with spring-like temperatures when I landed. Oh no. Instead, I got a record breaking day for the coldest day since 1949. Yikes!! So much for trying to take Mexico's weather back home with me.
Although I'm back from my trip, I'm only really back in body (a very tanned one, might I add), and definitely not back in mind. My mind is still far, far away. It's actually still lying on a blue chair next to the sparkling blue water while the sun is beaming on my face, just waiting for the bar to open at ten o'clock so I can chug back some frozen pina colada's. #livingthelife.
So with that said, it's probably going to take me a few days to go through the hundreds of pictures that's still sitting on my memory card so I can recap my trip, but in the meantime I wanted to drop in because I've really missed this place. I also can't believe how much you can miss when you don't read your daily blogs for over a week. As silly as that may sound to some, when you follow these people daily, a whole week of not knowing what's going on in their lives can seem like an eternity. I'm not that much of a creep, I swear. But then again, having a full weeks worth of reading material has also been very entertaining, not to mention very hard on the productivity. But no worries because I'm still lying on a beach, remember?
Happy weekend, everyone!
I can't wait to tell you allllll about my trip!
